Product Review

This is the perfect time of year to start thinking about investing in a new kayak, and we have recently come across a great model that might be of interest to you. The Heritage Kayaks Redfish 12 is a sit on kayak so it's perfect for lazing around on in shallow or calm waters. Despite the fact that this is a sit on top Kayak, it has to be said that the stability of the Yak is pretty impressive, and although I haven't taken it out in anything more challenging than a fairly placid lake, I'm pretty sure that it would stand up to the test of some fairly fast moving waters.

This Heritage Kayaks Redfish 12 is perfect for the angler. You'll find the seat so easy to jump in and out of, and I found it great to just sit on the side and drop my line. You'll also love the soft padded seat, which really does mean that you can stay in the Kayak for hours. I was out for almost five hours when I took the RedFish 12 out, and I have to say that I felt almost as fresh when I got out of the water as I did when I first ventured out.

There are several reasons to go for a Kayak like the Redfish 12, but one of the great advantages is the storage space. There's plenty of room for your rod and bait box, or some snorkeling gear, and even if you are particularly tall or large, this Kayak should be able to deal with it. Of course, when you are fully loaded up with swimming or fishing gear, you will be glad of the superb stability of this Kayak. It's a great Yak for beginners and intermediates, with the only drawback being slight difficulty paddling against the wind, but then again, with a 12 foot Yak, you're always going to struggle in this sort of situation.

Overall I loved the stable and comfortable RedFish 12, and it's priced superbly for what you get.
